We all love to get our glow on and I’m constantly on the look out for new highlighting products to light up my moon face! Make me sparkle! I was given the opportunity to try out the AHB Cosmetics Highlight & Strobe Kit* and I’m making more of an effort to share lesser known brands with you guys so I, of course, said yes! I thought it’d be interesting to give you guys a full run down of this product and let you get to know the brand a little bit and of course, I will be dazzling you with some gorgeous glowy swatches so stick around sisters!

The highlight and strobe kit is priced at £59.95 and the coordinating brush I also have to show you is £20.00 so they are priced quite highly? You may be asking ‘is it worth the price’ well, I’ll let you guys decide for yourselves as you make your way through the post but personally I would happily pay this again when I am out of the products. It’s quickly become a staple in my collection and I haven’t used another highlight or blush since this arrived on my doorstep.

The packaging is incredible and whilst it is the typical cardboard packaging it’s glossy and sturdy with a magnetic closure to keep it all in tact. The pans are set inside the palette and it doesn’t feel cheap at all, everything feels very secure, it’s a good size and the pans are nice hefty pans too. The colours have been designed to suit every skin tone and every person, from makeup artist to mum doing the school run, this has been designed by someone who has experienced being both of those things and she wanted something that could be used by everyone.

There are 6 shades in this palette and four of which are highlight and strobe powders and the other two are handmade baked blushers which are marble patterned and they make me swoon! You have two lighter highlight shades and two darker golden bronze shades. I was a little bit nervous about the two shades in the middle and I was anticipating them to be very dark and not at all usable on pale skin but I was so wrong! These bad boys give a glow! They work beautifully on my pale skin and would look gorgeous on darker skin too you can see from the swatches what the shades are like.

these products have no issue picking up and applying pigment at the swipe of a finger! This palette has not left my side and I can’t see it being forgotten about anytime soon! It’s really quick, cuts my makeup application time in half and I have worn this with just a simple light base, a bit of brow gel, mascara and a blush and highlight from this palette for a really simple natural glowy makeup look. It’s not struggled to bring a glow to my skin that’s pretty corpse looking and it really boosts any makeup look and the fact that it’s for all skin tones is a huge benefit on this brand and it’s nice that they have taken all skin tones into account when creating this palette!

So moving onto the brush which is double sided in the way of one side being lighter bristles and the other side being darker. This is intentional and the darker side is intended for applying the highlight powders and the lighter side is designed for the application of the blush. Their branding is on point with their white and rose gold packaging that we all know makes a blogger swoon, we can’t resist that combo, can we?! It’s really easy to hold, nice and light but not too light that it makes it difficult to apply product! The hairs are beautifully soft and dreamy to blend out the product and the size of the brush is perfect for getting all of the areas of your face you want to highlight!

All of the products in this palette are cruelty-free (so is the brush), paraben free, gluten free, micro bead free and nanoparticle free.

I really hope you enjoyed today’s post and hopefully I have made you all discover a new brand and a palette we all need in our lives! It’s such a makeup game changer and it’s so beautiful to look at! I’d love to know if you are a fan of highlighters and if this is something that is up your street?!
